COURSE CURRICULUM

The four-year curriculum for the Business Administration major with a concentration in International Business is structured to provide a balanced foundation in general education and business disciplines, with a specialized focus on global commerce. In the first year, students begin with general education courses in writing, literature, communication, and a new student seminar, while also taking foundational courses like Applied Macroeconomics, Applied Microeconomics, Statistical Methods in Business, Spreadsheet Modeling, and Business Ethics. These courses develop students' analytical, communication, and ethical reasoning skills. They also take Technology in Business to understand the role of information systems.In the second year, students explore functional business areas through the Integrated Core semester, which includes courses in finance, operations, management, and marketing. They also study accounting, business law, and international business fundamentals, while starting career preparation through the Campus to Career Transition course. Strategic Business Communications enhances their ability to communicate in professional settings.The third year delves deeper into international topics through courses such as International Economics or International Financial Management, Export/Import Marketing, and International Marketing or Cross-Cultural Management. Students also complete electives that support their concentration and broader business interests. The Senior Seminar in International Business integrates prior knowledge into strategic global business thinking.In the final year, students round out their general education with courses in the arts, humanities, and physical education. The Applied Business Strategy capstone challenges students to apply their skills to complex business problems.
