COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Administration major with a concentration in Entrepreneurship provides a comprehensive education in core business principles while focusing on entrepreneurial innovation and startup development. The curriculum begins with foundational courses in accounting, legal and ethical business environments, business communications, information technology, and business ethics. Students then move into integrated core courses that offer a deeper understanding of finance, operations management, marketing, and strategic management. Collateral courses in economics, statistics, and spreadsheet modeling further strengthen analytical and quantitative skills. Career readiness is supported through zero-credit transition courses designed to prepare students for real-world work environments.The Entrepreneurship concentration consists of four required courses that explore the entrepreneurial mindset, business model development, pitching and launching startups, and strategies for growing early-stage companies. Students also choose 9 credits of electives from a diverse selection that includes innovation and 3D printing, legal aspects of entrepreneurship, marketing for entrepreneurs, strategic project management, consumer behavior, and more. These electives allow students to tailor their learning to specific interests in entrepreneurship and business development.To complete the degree, students select an additional 6 credits of major electives and fulfill 30 credits of general education requirements. Several general education courses, such as economics and statistical methods, are embedded within the major. This program equips students with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to start their own ventures or bring entrepreneurial thinking into established organizations.
