COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Health Informatics curriculum at Metropolitan College of New York is structured across three purpose-based semesters, providing a focused and progressive learning experience that integrates healthcare, data analytics, and information technology. In the first semester, students build a strong foundation in health informatics through courses such as Introduction to Health Informatics and Health Information Systems, which explores how information systems support healthcare delivery, policy, and management. Students also gain leadership and management skills by studying how to manage clinical information systems projects and organizational change, preparing them to oversee complex healthcare IT initiatives.The final semester focuses on applying knowledge to real-world challenges in healthcare technology. Students study healthcare IT project management, artificial intelligence in healthcare, and big data systems, gaining expertise in emerging technologies that drive innovation in the industry.
