COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Technology Management curriculum at Metropolitan College of New York is structured across eight purpose-based semesters, integrating technical, business, and practical learning through a comprehensive and progressive framework. In the initial stages, students focus on self-assessment and IT career planning while building foundational knowledge in computer hardware, operating systems, and networking. Courses in critical thinking, ethics, psychology, and business principles help develop communication and analytical skills, while hands-on field components such as hardware troubleshooting simulations and operating system installations provide practical experience.As students advance, the curriculum emphasizes applied IT skills and business integration. They study network operations, IT systems management, and security concepts such as privacy, compliance, and Active Directory management. The program also introduces real-world applications through labs and simulations, including network implementation and tech support scenarios. In the middle stages, students explore mobile technologies, cloud computing, and web development, while also learning how to manage organizational change and develop IT support systems. These courses are complemented by subjects like accounting, data analysis, and finance, ensuring a strong business foundation alongside technical expertise.In the later stages, the program focuses on advanced topics such as database development and administration, cybersecurity management, risk management, and strategic systems analysis.
