COURSE CURRICULUM

The healthcare-focused Bachelor of Business Administration curriculum at Metropolitan College of New York is a 120-credit program organized into eight purposes, each carrying 15 credits and designed to build progressive knowledge and practical skills in healthcare management. In the initial stages, students focus on foundational areas such as self-assessment, career development, and professional relationships in healthcare, while also developing essential competencies in critical thinking, communication, and understanding human anatomy and physiology. Courses in principles of business, management, and computer applications introduce students to the core functions of organizations, while skills-based subjects like medical terminology and insurance provide industry-specific knowledge.As students advance, the curriculum deepens into specialized healthcare topics, including quality management, community health services, and assessing healthcare needs. They also study diversity in healthcare, ethics, and public communication, alongside subjects such as macroeconomics, managerial statistics, and pathophysiology, which strengthen analytical and decision-making abilities. The later purposes focus on advanced areas such as healthcare marketing, human resource management, healthcare financing, and the use of technology and innovation in healthcare systems.
