COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration curriculum at Metropolitan College of New York is structured around eight “Purpose” levels, each carrying 15 credits, for a total of 120 credits. The program follows the college’s Purpose-Centered Education model, integrating theoretical learning with practical application through dimensions such as constructive action, values and ethics, self and others, systems, and skills. In the early stages, students focus on foundational areas like career planning, critical thinking, sociology, and core business principles. They develop essential skills in computer applications, business math, and accounting while gaining an understanding of marketing, management, and economic systems.As students progress through the middle stages of the program, the curriculum becomes more specialized and applied. Courses cover areas such as market analysis, entrepreneurship, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and team dynamics. Students also strengthen their communication and analytical abilities through public speaking, persuasive writing, and ethical reasoning. The later stages of the program emphasize advanced business functions including human resource management, finance, project management, operations, and strategic planning. Students learn to develop implementation plans, manage organizational change, analyze financial data, and understand global business environments, including e-commerce and international business.In addition to the core curriculum, students choose a career track in entrepreneurship, accounting, or project management, allowing them to build expertise in a specific field. Throughout the program, constructive action projects require students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world business challenges, enhancing practical skills and decision-making abilities. By the final stage, students complete a comprehensive business plan that integrates their learning across disciplines.
