COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Fashion Media at LIM College offers students a comprehensive education that combines critical media theory with hands-on training in digital and print media production. Designed for aspiring media professionals in fashion and related industries, the program provides a balanced curriculum of liberal arts, business, and industry-specific courses. Students develop practical skills in media writing, editing, video production, digital photography, and visual storytelling. Core major requirements include courses such as Introduction to Mass Media, multiple levels of New Media writing and editing, and a Fashion Media Senior Capstone. Students further personalize their studies by choosing from digital-focused electives like Video Production and Editing or Digital Photography and Imaging, and media-focused electives such as Introduction to Film, Global Media, and Integrated Marketing Communications. In addition to 33 credits in the major, the degree requires 21 credits in general education, 13 credits in career education and internships, 24 credits in liberal arts electives, and 21 credits in general electives, totaling 121 or 122 credits. The program integrates experiential learning through required internships and a senior co-op, helping students build a professional portfolio and prepare for careers in editorial work, social media, video production, marketing, and communications within the fashion media landscape.
