COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Healthcare Administration at Lawrence Technological University integrates core administrative knowledge with specialized skill-building through graduate certificates, providing a flexible and career-focused curriculum. All students complete a required 15-credit Healthcare Administration Graduate Certificate, which includes courses in Human Resource Management, Fundamentals of Healthcare Finance, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Policy, and Managerial Epidemiology. This foundation ensures graduates have a strong understanding of organizational leadership, financial management, policy, and analytical approaches to healthcare operations. In addition to the core certificate, students select one of three optional 15-credit certificates to tailor their expertise: Healthcare Data Analytics, Healthcare Data Science, or Healthcare Leadership. The Healthcare Data Analytics certificate emphasizes management information systems, Python programming, statistics, health informatics, and business-focused data science applications. The Data Science certificate builds advanced computational and analytical skills, including programming concepts, advanced data science, statistics, health informatics, and machine learning with text applications. The Healthcare Leadership certificate focuses on organizational and strategic competencies, covering health information management, advocacy for vulnerable populations, evidence-based communication, team leadership, and strategic project management. Together, these certificates allow students to combine practical, technical, and leadership skills to address real-world healthcare challenges. The program is designed for flexibility, offering online, hybrid, and in-person formats to accommodate working professionals, with an 18- to 24-month timeline for completion. By integrating core healthcare administration knowledge with a specialized certificate, students develop the ability to lead healthcare organizations, manage data-driven initiatives, and implement evidence-based strategies.
