COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in Media Communication with a focus in Film, Television, and Video Production is a comprehensive four-year program designed to develop students’ creative, technical, and communication skills for the media industry. In the first year, students build a strong foundation by studying subjects such as Introduction to Video Production, Media Communication and Society, Intro to Psychology, and Speech, along with creative courses like Geometry in Art and Audio for TV and Video Production. They are also introduced to film analysis through Intro to Film Studies and supported by humanities courses to strengthen critical thinking and expression. In the second year, the curriculum becomes more technical and skill-oriented, with courses such as Studio and Remote Broadcast Techniques, Cinematography Theory and Practice, Adobe for Media, and Video Editing. Students also enhance their writing abilities through professional and media-focused communication courses, while continuing general education subjects like natural sciences and electives.In the third year, students begin to specialize and gain real-world exposure through courses like Social Media, Topics in Film Studies, Advanced Broadcast Production, and Advanced Writing for Media. A key highlight is the Media Communication Internship, which provides hands-on industry experience and helps students build professional connections. Electives and additional courses allow students to explore their interests further while strengthening their understanding of media production and communication. In the fourth year, the program focuses on advanced learning and practical application. Students choose multiple electives to deepen their expertise in specific areas of media and communication, and they complete the Senior Production Practicum, where they apply their knowledge to create professional-level media projects. Overall, the curriculum blends theory, creativity, and hands-on experience, preparing students for careers in film, television, video production, and digital media industries.
