COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Emerging Media and Technology requires a minimum of 30 credit hours and combines foundational coursework, interdisciplinary specialization, and a culminating project, internship, or thesis. Core courses include project management and team dynamics, foundations of emerging media and technology, creative coding or web application development, and interactive data. Students select a 12-credit interdisciplinary specialization from applied communication, information and strategy; applied creative technology; data analytics and coding; social scientific research; or training and development technology. The program concludes with a 6-credit culminating requirement, which can be completed as a project in emerging media and technology, a combination of project and internship, or a thesis. This structure ensures students gain both technical skills and applied experience, preparing them to manage and contribute to interdisciplinary technology projects in media, research, and communication contexts.
