COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Business Analytics requires the completion of a minimum of thirty credit hours, combining core coursework, electives, and a culminating practical experience. The major requirements are designed to build a strong foundation in analytics, data management, and machine learning. Core courses include Analytics in Practice, Quantitative Management Modeling, Business Analytics, and Advanced Data Mining and Predictive Analytics, which develop essential skills in analyzing and interpreting business data. Students also study Fundamentals and Advanced Machine Learning, as well as Database Management and Database Analytics, gaining expertise in handling large datasets and applying advanced analytical techniques.In addition to the core curriculum, students complete six credit hours of major electives, allowing them to tailor their studies to specific interests and career goals. Elective options cover a wide range of topics such as data visualization, natural language processing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, econometrics, and statistical learning. Students may also choose internship or capstone-related courses as part of their electives, providing opportunities for hands-on experience and specialization in emerging areas of analytics and technology.The program concludes with a culminating requirement, where students choose between an internship in business analytics or a capstone project. The internship provides real-world industry experience, enabling students to apply their analytical skills in professional settings, while the capstone project focuses on solving complex business problems through data-driven approaches.
