COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence program requires the completion of a minimum of thirty credit hours, combining core courses, electives, and a culminating experience. The major requirements are designed to build a strong foundation in artificial intelligence and related technologies. Students begin with core courses such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Advanced Database Systems Design, and Advanced Artificial Intelligence, each contributing to the development of essential technical and analytical skills. In addition, students must choose one course from options like Algorithmic Robotics, Probabilistic Data Management, or Information Visualization, allowing some flexibility in focusing on specific interests.The program also includes nine credit hours of major electives, offering a wide range of specialized topics. These electives allow students to explore areas such as robotics, Internet of Things, big data analytics, data mining, embedded computing, image processing, human-robot interaction, and computational health informatics. This variety ensures that students can tailor their education according to their career goals and emerging industry demands. Some courses may require advisor approval, especially for special topics or interdisciplinary studies.To complete the program, students must fulfill a culminating requirement worth six credit hours. They can choose between a thesis option or a project-based option. The thesis option involves conducting original research under faculty supervision, while the project option focuses on practical application through a capstone project. Students selecting the project path may also take additional electives such as internships or advanced computer science courses with advisor approval.
