Experiential learning is emphasized through the School Counseling Practicum and two sequential Internship courses, providing students with direct, supervised counseling experience in school settings.Students may also choose from a range of 12 credit hours of electives to tailor their program to specific interests, such as Diagnosis in Counseling, Foundations of Addictions Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Psychopathology for Counselors, Family Therapy, and Legal and Policy Foundations of Special Education.
