COURSE CURRICULUM

The master’s degree in Sport Administration requires a minimum of 34 credit hours and is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the business, management, and leadership aspects of the sports industry. The core curriculum includes foundational courses such as Statistics or Research in Educational Services, which develop analytical and research skills essential for decision-making in sport settings. Students also complete specialized courses including Ethics in Sport, Sociology of Sport and Physical Activity, Sport Law, Financial Aspects of Sport, Leadership of Sport, and Sport Marketing. These courses collectively build knowledge in areas such as legal regulations, financial management, organizational leadership, ethical decision-making, and marketing strategies within the sports context. Additionally, a Research Seminar helps students develop critical thinking and research application skills relevant to the field.The program offers flexibility through 6 to 9 credit hours of graduate-level electives in Sport Administration, allowing students to tailor their studies according to their career interests, such as event management, athlete representation, or facility operations. A key component of the program is the culminating requirement, where students choose between options such as a research project, an internship in sport administration, or a thesis. This allows students to either gain practical, hands-on industry experience or engage in in-depth academic research. Overall, the program combines theoretical knowledge with practical application to prepare graduates for diverse roles in the sports industry, equipping them with the skills needed for careers in sports organizations, marketing agencies, and facility management.
