The Computer Engineering Technology program prepares students to become experts in designing, securing, and optimizing the systems that drive today’s connected world. Recognized by the National Security Agency as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, the program combines a strong foundation in both hardware and software, providing students with hands-on experience across embedded systems, digital design, electronic communication, networking, server administration, and advanced computing technologies. Core courses cover computer hardware, networking I and II, network security, wireless networks, digital design, systems engineering, and applied embedded systems, ensuring students develop a broad and practical understanding of computer engineering principles. Laboratory courses accompany key subjects, allowing students to gain practical experience and develop the technical skills necessary to implement, test, and secure complex systems. The curriculum also emphasizes project management, professional development, cultural dynamics in technology, and a capstone experience, which prepares students for real-world applications and interdisciplinary collaboration.
