COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Air Traffic and Airspace Management program requires students to complete a comprehensive curriculum that combines aviation theory, technical training, and practical experience. The major includes foundational courses such as introduction to aeronautics, aviation management, aviation weather, and severe weather, along with fundamentals of air traffic control supported by laboratory training to build hands-on skills. Students also study unmanned aircraft systems, including their operations and regulations, as well as aircraft systems, terminal operations, and non-pilot instrument flight theory, which together provide a strong understanding of modern aviation environments.As students advance, they take specialized courses in areas such as airspace management, en route operations, aircraft dispatch, aviation safety, human factors, flight dynamics, aviation law, and crew resource management. Emerging topics like advanced air vehicles and infrastructure are also included, reflecting the evolving nature of the aviation industry. The program emphasizes experiential learning through multiple laboratory components and culminates in a capstone project and lab focused on air traffic control, allowing students to apply their knowledge in realistic scenarios.
