COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance program requires a combination of core dance courses, performance practicums, electives, and general education credits to provide a well-rounded foundation in dance technique, choreography, and scholarship. Major courses include dance composition, dance and technology, professional aspects of dance, ballet, modern, and jazz training, along with dance history and a capstone experience. Students participate in performance ensembles or practicums in teaching and choreography to gain hands-on experience. Ballet, modern, and jazz electives allow students to advance their technical skills in each discipline. Additional courses in music, nutrition, and theater design support artistic development and interdisciplinary understanding.
