COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Entrepreneurship provides students with both the academic foundation and practical experiences necessary to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. The major emphasizes identifying business opportunities, evaluating them strategically, and taking action to create value while managing limited resources. Students acquire knowledge in finance, marketing, management, and sales tailored to entrepreneurial ventures, preparing them to launch new businesses or contribute innovatively within existing organizations.The program is highly experiential. Students engage in courses such as Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Tools, Sales in the Entrepreneurial Venture, Entrepreneurial Finance, and Entrepreneurial Marketing, culminating in New Venture Creation, a writing-intensive course, and a two-part Entrepreneurial Experience sequence. Major electives provide additional hands-on or specialized learning opportunities, including social entrepreneurship, fashion entrepreneurship, marketing analytics, and entrepreneurial internships, allowing students to apply concepts in real-world contexts.Additional required courses outside the major ensure a comprehensive business education. These include accounting, business analytics, supply chain management, legal and financial environment of business, information systems, management, marketing, and professional development courses. Mathematics and critical reasoning electives, Kent Core requirements, and general electives round out the curriculum, ensuring students earn a minimum of 120 credit hours with at least 39 upper-division credits.Through this combination of rigorous coursework, applied experiences, and opportunities for independent or collaborative projects, graduates are prepared to launch and manage ventures, develop innovative solutions, and thrive in entrepreneurial careers or further academic pursuits.
