COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Information Systems B.B.A. program is designed to equip students with the technical expertise and business knowledge needed to succeed in a technology-driven workplace. The program combines foundational courses in information systems, digital technologies, and business principles with hands-on, project-based learning experiences. Core courses cover essential topics such as business modeling, agile design, building digital solutions, and leveraging artificial intelligence for innovation. Students gain practical skills in designing applications, managing server-side systems, and applying data governance principles, while also learning to lead digital transformation projects and manage cybersecurity challenges. In addition to major requirements, students can choose from a variety of electives that allow them to tailor their studies to their specific career goals, including courses in operations management, data visualization, and business internships that provide real-world experience. The curriculum also emphasizes strong business fundamentals, with required courses in accounting, finance, marketing, management, economics, and the legal environment of business, ensuring graduates have a comprehensive understanding of organizational operations and strategy. Mathematics and critical reasoning courses, along with Kent Core requirements in composition, humanities, fine arts, social sciences, and sciences, provide a well-rounded education that develops analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills.
