COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management at Kent State University is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed as managers in a wide range of organizations. Students gain practical experience through courses like Business Consulting and Practicum and have opportunities for international exposure through programs such as International Business Experience or International Management Experience. The program also provides flexibility with major electives and college electives that allow students to tailor their learning to specific interests, including healthcare management, sustainability, digital technologies, finance, and marketing.Additional requirements build a strong foundation in business principles, including financial and managerial accounting, business analytics, supply chain management, business finance, economics, information systems, and professional communication. Mathematics and critical reasoning courses, along with Kent Core composition, humanities, social sciences, and basic sciences, provide a comprehensive liberal arts and analytical foundation. Students are also encouraged to participate in professional development courses, workshops, and internships to enhance career readiness.Graduation requirements ensure academic rigor, including a minimum overall GPA and major GPA of 2.0, as well as completion of at least 50 percent of major and business credit hours in residence at Kent State University. The program integrates outcome assessments to measure student learning and professional development. Through the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, students can engage in student organizations, networking events, and career services that further prepare them for managerial roles and long-term career success in diverse business environments.
