COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program offers a robust curriculum designed to prepare students for professional careers or graduate studies in computing. The program includes core coursework in Python programming, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, databases, web development, mobile computing, and data science, providing a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical computer science concepts. Students also complete essential math courses such as Calculus I and II, Linear Algebra, Statistics, and Mathematical Proofs to enhance their analytical skills and logical reasoning. A senior project serves as a capstone, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a real-world, multidisciplinary context.Students can choose from three concentrations or specializations: Cybersecurity, Data Science, or Software Engineering. The Cybersecurity concentration, offered online, includes courses on cybercrime, modern cybersecurity techniques, network and system security, cyber forensics, and electives in business or technical project management. The Data Science specialization focuses on R programming, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and relevant mathematics, preparing students for data-centric careers. The Software Engineering specialization integrates mobile computing, web stack development, databases, and project management with a focus on full-cycle software development.Each track is designed to develop in-demand technical expertise, practical project experience, and a cross-disciplinary understanding of computing.
