COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Administration program at Jessup University offers students a comprehensive curriculum that includes both foundational business courses and specialized concentrations, allowing for a personalized educational experience. Students begin with major courses in microeconomics, business statistics, and organizational communication, which lay the groundwork for advanced study. The core curriculum, totaling 41 units, covers essential topics such as management, accounting, finance, marketing, operations, business law, ethics, and international business. Students also complete a strategic management capstone and a business internship, providing valuable real-world experience.In addition to core coursework, students must select a concentration, choosing from General Business, Entrepreneurship, Finance (Rocklin campus only), Management, Marketing (not available online), Project Management (online only), or Digital Marketing (online only). Each concentration consists of 12 to 15 units of focused coursework. For example, the Accounting concentration includes advanced topics like auditing and federal tax preparation, while the Digital Marketing track covers SEO, SEM, and analytics. The Entrepreneurship concentration prepares students to launch and grow ventures, and Finance focuses on investment analysis and risk management. The Marketing concentration emphasizes international marketing, research, and communication strategies. Meanwhile, the Project Management concentration trains students in tools, budgeting, quality, and risk management specific to managing large-scale projects.This structure equips students with both general and specialized knowledge, making them highly adaptable and prepared for various careers in business.
