COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in Aviation at Jessup University offers a comprehensive 29-unit program designed to develop professional pilots with strong academic foundations and technical expertise. Students begin by completing general education requirements that align with the aviation field, including Aviation Law (PPOL360), Precalculus (MATH102), Meteorology for Aviation (ESCI133), and Physics 1 for Life Science with Lab (PHYS101/L). These courses provide essential scientific, mathematical, and regulatory knowledge that supports advanced aviation training.The core of the aviation program (19 units) includes practical and theoretical components focused on pilot certification and flight operations. Core courses include Instrument Ground (AVIA230), Instrument Flight Lab (AVIA240), and a series of Commercial Pilot Certification Labs (AVIA340A, 340B, 340C), along with the Commercial Pilot Ground School (AVIA332). The program culminates in the Aviation Flight Capstone/Internship (AVIA498), offering hands-on industry experience and applied learning.
