COURSE CURRICULUM

Project Management with a Cybersecurity concentration is designed to prepare students to lead projects in environments where digital security is a critical priority. In the first year, the fall semester begins with Principles of Project Management and Introduction to Large Language Models in Project Management, providing foundational project management skills and exposure to emerging technological tools. The spring semester builds on this foundation with Organizational Leadership and Planning and Executing Projects, equipping students to effectively lead teams, develop project plans, and ensure successful project outcomes. During the summer, students complete Risk, Procurement, and Contracts alongside Agile Project Management with Scrum Methodology, emphasizing risk mitigation, contract management, and iterative project execution, which are essential in cybersecurity-focused initiatives. In the second year, the fall semester introduces Principles of Cybersecurity and Cyber Warfare alongside Research Methodology and Writing or Applied Project Management I, providing a strong understanding of security principles and practical project application. The spring semester focuses on Leadership, Ethics, and Compliance in the Cybersecurity Industry and Ethical Hacking Development Lab, enabling students to apply hands-on cybersecurity techniques while ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance. The program concludes in the summer with Cyber Risk Assessment and Management and a Graduate Thesis or Applied Project Management II, allowing students to integrate project management expertise with cybersecurity strategies, preparing them to lead secure, compliant, and effective projects in complex digital environments.
