COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Analytics program consists of 36 semester hours designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in analytics along with specialized training in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Students complete 15 semester hours of core analytics courses that cover analytical principles and applications, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, and ethical considerations in data analytics, building strong quantitative, technical, and critical thinking skills. The program also includes 6 semester hours of experiential learning through a research methodology and writing course, followed by either an applied analytics project or a graduate thesis, allowing students to apply analytical techniques to real-world pharmaceutical or research-focused problems. The Pharmaceutical Sciences concentration comprises 15 semester hours, with 12 semester hours of required coursework focusing on key areas of drug science and data-driven pharmaceutical analysis. These courses include pharmacogenomics, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, drug transport, and drug metabolism, equipping students with the ability to analyze biological and chemical data related to drug response, efficacy, and safety. Collectively, the curriculum integrates data science with pharmaceutical knowledge, preparing graduates for data-intensive roles in pharmaceutical research, clinical analytics, regulatory science, and related life sciences fields.
