COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Analytics program requires completion of 36 semester hours and is structured to provide a strong analytical foundation while offering flexibility for individual specialization. Students complete 15 semester hours of core analytics courses that focus on principles and applications of analytics, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, and ethical considerations in data-driven practice, ensuring the development of essential technical and critical thinking skills. In addition to the core curriculum, students complete 6 semester hours of experiential learning through a research methodology and writing course, followed by either an applied analytics project or a graduate thesis, allowing them to apply analytical techniques to practical or research-based problems. The Individualized concentration consists of 15 semester hours of graduate-level electives selected from any program, enabling students to design a customized area of specialization aligned with their academic interests and career goals. With guidance from faculty advisors, students can tailor their coursework to develop expertise in specific domains such as machine learning, healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or other emerging areas. This flexible structure prepares graduates to apply advanced analytical skills across a wide range of industries and professional roles.
