COURSE CURRICULUM

The Student Learning Outcomes for Gannon University’s Theatre and Communication Arts program focus on preparing students to be skilled, versatile, and professional creators in the arts and media. Students learn to research and write extended analytical papers and to develop and deliver sustained business presentations using appropriate rhetorical strategies and technology, ensuring they can communicate effectively in professional and creative contexts.The program emphasizes collaboration and participation in scholarly and productive discussions, fostering strong interpersonal and professional skills. Students gain practical experience in the design, organization, rehearsal, and performance of dramatic and non-dramatic script material, as well as in pre-production, production, and post-production processes for theatre and digital media projects. This hands-on training helps students develop technical proficiency, creative problem-solving, and adaptability.Students also study the historical context of media and theatre, enabling them to understand and critically evaluate their work within broader cultural and artistic traditions.
