COURSE CURRICULUM

The Supply Chain Management specialization requirements are designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in managing modern supply chains, logistics systems, sourcing strategies, and operational efficiency within global business environments. In addition to completing the MBA core curriculum, students pursuing the supply chain management specialization are required to complete three specialized supply chain management courses along with a capstone experiential learning course. These courses focus on developing analytical, strategic, and operational expertise that organizations increasingly demand in today’s competitive and technology-driven marketplace. The course Sustainable and Lean Six Sigma introduces students to process improvement methodologies and sustainability practices that help organizations reduce waste, improve efficiency, maintain quality standards, and support environmentally responsible operations. Students learn techniques used to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and improve organizational performance through continuous improvement strategies. Logistics Management focuses on the movement, storage, and distribution of goods and services within supply chains. Students gain knowledge of transportation systems, inventory control, warehouse management, distribution planning, and logistics coordination necessary to ensure efficient supply chain operations and customer satisfaction. The course Global Sourcing, Procurement, and Negotiations examines international purchasing strategies, supplier management, procurement processes, contract management, and negotiation techniques within global markets. Students learn how organizations manage supplier relationships, evaluate sourcing options, control procurement costs, and navigate the challenges of international business operations. In addition to these specialized courses, students complete the Capstone Experiential Learning of Supply Chain Management course, which provides hands-on, real-world learning experiences that integrate concepts from the entire specialization. The capstone allows students to apply supply chain theories, analytical methods, and strategic problem-solving skills to practical business situations, often through projects, case studies, or industry-based learning activities. Together, these courses prepare students for leadership and analytical roles in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, operations, and consulting across industries such as manufacturing, retail, healthcare, transportation, and e-commerce.
