COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Silberman College of Business provides students with a flexible and career-focused curriculum designed to develop strong business knowledge, leadership abilities, and professional skills. Students pursuing the Business Administration major without a concentration must complete 21 credits of major coursework, including a required course in either Introduction to E-Business or Spreadsheet Applications in Business. In addition, students select 18 elective credits from business major courses offered across other business disciplines, allowing them to customize their education according to personal interests and career goals, although no more than nine credits may come from a single discipline. The program also offers optional concentrations that provide specialized knowledge in growing and competitive business fields. The Entrepreneurship concentration focuses on innovation, business development, and sales through courses in E-business for Entrepreneurs, Small Business Management, and Professional Sales. The Human Resources Management concentration prepares students for careers in workforce management and employee development through coursework in Human Resources Management, Strategic Staffing, Strategic Human Resources and Employee Wellbeing, and Leadership and Personal Development. The Information Systems concentration develops technical and analytical business skills with courses in Data Visualization, Intro to Python for Business, Advanced Excel, and Database Applications in Business, along with additional elective business courses. The International Business concentration prepares students for success in multinational business environments through courses in International Business, International Marketing, International Management, International Trade, and technology-focused business studies. The Professional Sales concentration emphasizes communication, negotiation, leadership, and sales strategies through coursework in Professional Selling, Sales Management, and Negotiations and Conflict Management, along with specialized electives such as Consumer Behavior and Pharmaceutical Marketing and Sales. Overall, the program combines business theory, practical applications, leadership training, and specialized concentration options to prepare students for careers in management, marketing, entrepreneurship, international business, information systems, sales, and other professional business fields in a competitive global economy.
