COURSE CURRICULUM

The MFA in Game Design at DePaul University features a flexible, cohort-based curriculum designed to be completed in approximately 2.5 years over eight 10-week quarters. The program blends foundational instruction with advanced exploration in game design methods, reflective practice, collaborative development, and hands-on production. Students engage in a combination of bootcamp-style training, theory-based courses, and production studio experiences that help them build both technical and conceptual expertise in game creation.
