COURSE CURRICULUM

The World Language Education (MA/MEd) program at DePaul University offers students the opportunity to earn an initial Illinois Professional Educator License with a K-12 endorsement in world language education. This pathway is ideal for individuals who want to become licensed teachers, while those who are already licensed can add a world language endorsement to expand their qualifications. The program allows students to specialize in one of nine languages, including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, or Spanish, giving them the flexibility to align their studies with their interests and career goals.Designed with accessibility and flexibility in mind, the program can be completed in approximately two years. Classes are scheduled during weekday evenings, making it suitable for working professionals or students with other commitments. In addition to in-person classes at DePaul’s Lincoln Park Campus, students also have the option to study online or through a hybrid format that combines both online and on-campus learning.
