COURSE CURRICULUM

The Curriculum Studies program at DePaul University offers both MEd and MA degree options, allowing students to choose a path that best fits their professional goals. The MEd is designed to enhance the knowledge and teaching practices of current educators or practitioners, helping them strengthen their expertise in curriculum development and educational leadership. Within this option, students can select from three concentrations: Curriculum Specialist, Curriculum Studies with Teacher Leader endorsement, or Curriculum Studies with Computer Science endorsement. These pathways provide opportunities to specialize in areas that support career advancement and leadership roles in education.The MA option, on the other hand, focuses more on academic and research development. It is intended for students who want to build strong skills in research and scholarly writing, particularly those planning to pursue a doctoral degree in the future. This track emphasizes critical analysis and academic inquiry, preparing students for advanced study and research-based careers in education.The program is designed with flexibility to accommodate different schedules and commitments. Classes are offered both online and in person at the Lincoln Park Campus, allowing students to choose the format that best suits their needs. The degree can typically be completed in about two and a half years, making it a manageable option for working professionals.
