These fundamentals are critical for creating effective and visually compelling stage environments.Drawing for Designers develops essential sketching and visualization skills, helping students communicate scenic ideas clearly and effectively. Rendering for Designers I builds on this by teaching students how to create more detailed and polished visual representations of stage designs, allowing them to present their creative concepts in a professional format.Technical and hands-on skills are developed through courses like Scenographic Drafting and Model Building. Scenographic Drafting teaches students how to create accurate technical drawings for stage construction, while Model Building allows them to construct physical scale models of set designs to better understand spatial relationships and staging possibilities. Scene Painting focuses on practical techniques for painting scenery and creating realistic textures and environments for stage productions.Students also gain exposure to broader production practices through Special Topics in Theatre Technology, which explores advanced or specialized areas of theatre production and design.
