Constructing Latino Communities allows students to understand how identity, migration, and community formation shape the experiences of Latino populations, particularly in the United States.Media and Cultural Studies Across the Americas explores how media, art, and cultural expression reflect and influence social realities, while Globalization in the Americas analyzes economic, political, and cultural connections across countries in the region. The Art of the Ancient Americas provides insight into early civilizations, highlighting artistic achievements and cultural traditions that continue to influence modern societies. Latino Religious Experience in the United States examines faith practices and spiritual traditions, offering a deeper understanding of cultural identity and community life. Latino Communities in Chicago gives students a localized perspective, connecting broader themes to real-world experiences in an urban setting.In addition to core coursework, students can tailor their academic journey through various concentrations. Cultural Studies of the Americas focuses on cultural expression and identity across the region, while Latina/o/x Studies centers on the experiences and contributions of Latino communities.
