COURSE CURRICULUM

The Sports Management and Business program at Concordia University Chicago combines a strong liberal arts foundation with essential business and sports management coursework. Students complete a comprehensive general education curriculum that includes communication, humanities, fine arts, social and behavioral sciences, physical and life sciences, mathematics, and theology. Core business and sports management courses such as Foundations of Sports Management, Sport Facility and Event Management, Diversity of Sport, Organization and Administration of Sport, and Governance of Sport provide students with an in-depth understanding of the sports industry. Electives like Intercollegiate Athletic Administration and Sport Media Communication allow students to tailor their studies to specific career interests. Through engaging coursework, students develop skills in leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving, preparing them to manage complex organizations in the sports and business sectors. The program’s emphasis on real-world learning experiences ensures graduates are well prepared for careers in athletic administration, event management, sports marketing, and related fields.
