This major requires students to choose a concentration, allowing them to specialize in a specific area while gaining deeper knowledge and practical, hands-on experience. These concentrations are designed to help students align their studies with career goals, build expertise in targeted fields, and take advantage of opportunities such as research, internships, and mentorship before graduation.The Anatomy and Physiology concentration focuses on understanding how the human body functions in both normal and diseased states. Students can explore specialized areas such as endocrinology, pharmacology, neurophysiology, reproductive physiology, and cardiopulmonary systems through elective courses and laboratory research. This pathway is particularly useful for those planning careers in medicine or healthcare.The Environmental Public Health concentration emphasizes preventing disease and injury by addressing environmental factors that affect health. Students learn how to manage risks related to air, water, soil, housing, and workplaces, while promoting healthier communities.
