Colorado State University

Colorado State University traces its origins to February 11, 1870, when Colorado's territorial governor signed the bill establishing the State Agricultural College in Fort Collins, making it the state's first institution of higher education. This public institution, renamed Colorado State University in 1957, has grown into one of the nation's leading research universities, with more than $300 million in annual research expenditures. Students researching the Colorado State University acceptance rate and admission requirements will find a 669-acre campus at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, home to more than 34,000 students. Colorado State University tuition fees and course offerings show particular strength in veterinary medicine, atmospheric science, and environmental scholarship. For students seeking a land-grant research university with a genuinely long-standing regional impact, CSU's ranking among the nation's R1 research institutions remains well earned.
