COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Industrial and Engineering Management is a 36-unit graduate program designed to prepare students for leadership roles in industrial and engineering environments. The curriculum provides a multidisciplinary approach combining management, technical, and analytical skills to optimize operations and drive organizational success. Core courses include accounting for managerial decision-making, project management, supply chain management, organization theory and behavior, legal and ethical aspects of industrial management, team leadership, commercialization of entrepreneurial innovations, and information systems and technology management. Students also select nine units of electives, allowing them to tailor their learning to specific interests such as strategic management, technological innovation management, marketing data analytics, transportation and supply chain management, risk management, and new venture product development. The program culminates with a three-unit Industrial and Engineering Management course, serving as the final experience to integrate learning and apply it to real-world industrial and engineering challenges. This program is suitable for students with engineering, technical, or business backgrounds seeking advanced expertise in both operational and managerial aspects of industrial and engineering systems.The Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology is a 45-unit graduate program designed to prepare students to apply psychological principles and research methods to workplace settings. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in understanding human behavior in organizations, emphasizing practical applications in areas such as performance management, talent acquisition, organizational development, motivation, leadership, and legal issues in the workplace. Students gain advanced training in research methods and statistical analysis, including analysis of variance, regression, nonparametric statistics, applied psychological measurement, and multivariate methods, ensuring they can rigorously evaluate workplace interventions and make evidence-based recommendations. Practical experience is a core component of the program, with students participating in a practicum and externship in applied psychology to develop hands-on skills and apply theoretical knowledge in real organizational contexts. Elective courses allow students to tailor their studies to areas such as occupational health psychology, diversity and work-family issues, lifespan development, cognitive psychology, learning and motivation, biological psychology, and social psychology.
