COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Industrial and Engineering Management is a 36-unit graduate program designed to prepare students for leadership roles in industrial and engineering environments. The curriculum provides a multidisciplinary approach combining management, technical, and analytical skills to optimize operations and drive organizational success. Core courses include accounting for managerial decision-making, project management, supply chain management, organization theory and behavior, legal and ethical aspects of industrial management, team leadership, commercialization of entrepreneurial innovations, and information systems and technology management. Students also select nine units of electives, allowing them to tailor their learning to specific interests such as strategic management, technological innovation management, marketing data analytics, transportation and supply chain management, risk management, and new venture product development. The program culminates with a three-unit Industrial and Engineering Management course, serving as the final experience to integrate learning and apply it to real-world industrial and engineering challenges. Graduates are equipped to lead teams, manage complex projects, implement technology-driven solutions, and make data-informed strategic decisions in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and engineering-focused organizations.
