COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MS in HRM) is a 30-unit graduate program designed to prepare students for professional careers in human resources. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in key areas of HR, including strategic human resource management, human resource administration, organizational theory, and advanced managerial communications. Students build on this core knowledge by selecting 15 units of elective courses tailored to their interests, which may include internships, international human resources, contemporary topics, independent study, leadership, and strategic management. This flexible structure allows students to explore specialized areas while gaining practical, hands-on experience in real-world HR settings. Additionally, students must take three units from any graduate-level course outside the program to broaden their perspective and interdisciplinary knowledge. The program concludes with a three-unit culminating experience, the Culminating HR Experience, which integrates learning across the curriculum and provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills in a comprehensive project or practical HR scenario. Graduates of the program are equipped to take on professional roles such as human resource specialists, managers, or organizational leaders, with the expertise to manage human capital, develop workforce strategies, and support organizational objectives effectively.
