COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Health Services Administration (HSAD) is a 43-unit program designed to prepare students for leadership and management roles in healthcare organizations. The core curriculum, comprising 33 units, covers essential topics including the U.S. healthcare system, communication and human relations in health services, administration of healthcare programs, management and organizational planning, health economics and financial systems, information and technology management, health law and medical ethics, strategic planning and evaluation, leadership and team development, a capstone seminar, and graduate research methodology.Students also complete 7 units of electives chosen with guidance from their graduate advisor to align with individual career goals, allowing for customization of the program to fit professional interests. The program culminates in a 3-unit experiential requirement, which can be fulfilled through an administrative residency or a graduate project.
