COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree program requires the completion of 33 units designed to provide a comprehensive education in finance. Core coursework covers key areas such as financial analytics, ethical and professional standards, quantitative methods, financial markets, corporate finance, portfolio management, global equity investment, fixed income, and derivatives and alternative investments. Students develop expertise in analyzing financial statements, applying quantitative techniques to financial problems, and managing investment portfolios. The program also includes a portfolio component (FIN 6985) to integrate and apply knowledge gained throughout the curriculum.The culminating experience for the MSF is the Finance Comprehensive Examination (FIN 6980), which allows students to demonstrate mastery of the program’s learning outcomes. This comprehensive exam is taken after completing all coursework and satisfies the program’s graduation requirement. The structure of the MSF program ensures that students gain both theoretical understanding and practical skills in finance, preparing them for careers in investment management, corporate finance, financial analysis, and related fields.
