COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation is a 30-unit graduate program designed to equip students from business, technical, or other academic backgrounds with the knowledge and skills to launch innovative ventures or develop new initiatives within organizations. The program’s 21-unit core curriculum focuses on essential areas of entrepreneurship, including creativity and improvisation, commercialization of innovation, evidence-based resource planning, pitching new ventures, entrepreneurship and new venture development, data-driven opportunity recognition and evaluation, and legal and negotiation strategies for startups. Students also complete a reflective essay to integrate their learning.In addition to the core courses, students complete a 3-unit culminating experience called Entrepreneurial Immersion, which provides hands-on, practical engagement in real-world entrepreneurial projects, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in a professional setting. The program also requires 6 units of concentration courses, which students select to align with their career goals and specialized interests in entrepreneurship and innovation.Throughout the program, there is a strong emphasis on experiential learning, data-driven decision-making, and strategic planning, preparing students to effectively evaluate opportunities, create business models, manage resources, and implement ventures. Graduates leave the program with a combination of analytical, creative, and practical skills that enable them to succeed as entrepreneurs, innovators, or intrapreneurs capable of generating value in both startup environments and established organizations.
