COURSE CURRICULUM

Bentley University’s full-time MBA is typically completed in two years and is designed to provide both foundational knowledge and advanced business expertise. The program begins with up to five foundation courses—Managerial Statistics, Economic Environment of the Firm, Marketing Management, Accounting for Decision-Making, and Financial Statement Analysis—though students with relevant prior experience may be waived from some or all of these courses. If more than three foundation courses are waived, students are required to add electives to maintain a balanced curriculum.Following the foundation courses, students complete six core courses that focus on advanced business skills and leadership development. These courses include Strategic Information Technology Alignment, Business Process Management, Leading Responsibly, Global Strategy, Designing for the Value Chain, and Law, Ethics, and Social Responsibility. Together, they provide a comprehensive understanding of critical business functions, strategic decision-making, and responsible leadership practices.Electives form an important component of the MBA experience, with students required to take four to six courses. These electives allow students to tailor their degree to individual interests, either by declaring a concentration to develop specialized expertise or by selecting courses from across the graduate school curriculum for a more general MBA experience. Electives enable students to deepen their knowledge in areas such as finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, or international business while also offering flexibility to explore emerging fields and industry trends.This structure ensures that graduates leave the program with a solid foundation in essential business concepts, advanced leadership skills, and the ability to customize their learning to align with career goals.
