COURSE CURRICULUM

The Psychology major is a comprehensive four-year program totaling 120 credits, designed to provide a strong foundation in the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. In the first year, students take foundational courses such as Introductory Psychology, Introduction to Academic Writing, and general education requirements including history, natural science, and a foreign language, alongside electives to broaden their knowledge. The second year builds on this foundation with advanced psychology courses from Group A or B, Philosophy 101, Elementary Statistics, Theology, and literature, plus electives, allowing students to deepen their understanding of psychological theories and research methods. During the third year, the curriculum focuses on Research Methods, additional psychology courses, and electives, while also fulfilling philosophy or theology electives and fine/performing arts requirements. A professional psychology introduction course provides insight into the field’s practical applications. The final year culminates in a Psychology Capstone project, advanced psychology courses, and a senior seminar, alongside electives to customize the learning experience. Throughout the program, students engage in diverse disciplines to develop critical thinking, research skills, and ethical understanding.
