Core courses include CY 600 Introduction to Cybersecurity, which may be waived for students with a relevant undergraduate degree or sufficient prior coursework, providing an overview of fundamental cybersecurity principles. CY 611 Network Security explores strategies for protecting organizational networks from intrusions and vulnerabilities, while CY 621 Cryptography focuses on encryption methods and secure communication techniques. CY 631 Information Security Management emphasizes governance, policy development, and risk management to align security initiatives with organizational objectives. CY 641 Cybercrime & Digital Forensics equips students with skills to investigate digital crimes, collect evidence, and analyze incidents. CY 651 Penetration Testing provides hands-on experience in identifying system weaknesses and testing defenses, while CY 661 Cloud Security addresses security challenges associated with cloud computing and virtual environments.
