The Artificial Intelligence concentration equips students with the technical expertise, ethical understanding, and strategic insight needed to design, implement, and manage AI solutions across diverse industries. The program begins with AI 600 Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, which may be waived for students with a relevant undergraduate degree or prior coursework, providing foundational knowledge of AI concepts, tools, and methodologies. AI 605 Ethical AI Design and Policy emphasizes responsible AI development, addressing ethical considerations, regulatory compliance, and societal impact. AI 615 Natural Language Processing focuses on techniques for enabling machines to understand, interpret, and generate human language, while AI 620 Principles of Computer Vision introduces methods for analyzing and interpreting visual data from images and videos. AI 630 Neural Networks and Deeper Learning provides advanced knowledge of deep learning architectures and their applications in solving complex computational problems. AI 640 AI Strategy and Applications develops students’ ability to integrate AI into business strategies, optimize processes, and drive innovation. CS 661 AI & Machine Learning enhances technical proficiency through hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms, predictive modeling, and AI system implementation.
