COURSE CURRICULUM

The 120-credit hour Business Administration, B.S.B.A. degree with a Marketing concentration at Avila University is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business principles while preparing them for specialized careers in marketing. The program requires students to complete core liberal arts courses, including mathematics and social sciences, with MA 120 College Algebra and EC 202 Principles of Microeconomics forming the foundation. The School of Business core courses, totaling 36 credit hours, include essential classes in accounting, finance, management, marketing, statistical and quantitative analysis, business communications, legal aspects of business, and a capstone course that integrates practical and theoretical knowledge. The Marketing major itself comprises 18 credit hours, featuring required courses such as Marketing Policy and Marketing Research, along with four elective courses chosen from options including Consumer Behavior, Promotion Strategy, Personal Selling, International Marketing, and Digital Marketing Communication, allowing students to tailor their studies to individual career goals. In addition, students must complete a minimum of 22 elective hours to fulfill the 120-credit graduation requirement, offering flexibility to explore complementary fields or gain additional expertise.
