COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Avila University requires the completion of 120 credit hours, including 38–51 hours of core curriculum and 36 hours of School of Business core courses. Students are required to take MA 120 College Algebra and EC 202 Principles of Microeconomics as part of their liberal arts core. The business core provides a strong foundation in accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, communication, and legal aspects of business. Key courses include AC 201 and AC 202 Principles of Accounting, BL 305 Legal Aspects of Business I, BU 340 Business Communications, BU 499 Business Capstone, EC 203 Principles of Macroeconomics, EC 240 Statistical Analysis, EC 241 Quantitative Analysis, FI 330 Finance, MG 321 Management, MG 498 Strategic Management, and MK 310 Marketing. Students must also complete a business composition requirement through EN 112, EN 210, or EN 213. In addition, 21 credit hours of electives are required, chosen from at least three of the following areas: Accounting, Finance and Economics, Management and Business Law, and Marketing, with a minimum of six and a maximum of nine credit hours from any single area. This program equips students with analytical, managerial, and leadership skills essential for success in diverse business careers.
