COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts Studies with a Digital Content Management concentration combines a broad liberal arts foundation with specialized training in digital media and content strategy. The 38–51 credit hour core curriculum ensures students gain a comprehensive understanding of key liberal arts disciplines, while foundational courses—including Liberal Arts Foundations, a behavioral or social science course, a humanities course, a natural science course, and the capstone LA 499 Seminar in Liberal Arts Studies—provide breadth and integrative learning. The 27-credit Digital Content Management concentration equips students with practical and analytical skills essential for creating, managing, and optimizing digital content across platforms. Coursework covers beginning photography, digital media design software, typography, corporate scriptwriting, advertising principles, audio and video editing, integrated brand management, marketing, and digital marketing communication, fostering both creative and technical expertise. Students also learn critical aspects of content lifecycle management, user experience (UX), search engine optimization (SEO), accessibility, and ethical and legal considerations in digital media. Through hands-on experiences and industry-relevant projects, graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in content creation, organization, and strategy, as well as positions in digital marketing, social media management, and brand communication. This concentration emphasizes the combination of creativity, strategic thinking, and technical proficiency necessary to thrive in dynamic digital environments.
